Overture

Some time ago, Yahoo purchased Overture. Now it's re-branded for the second time to Yahoo! Search Marketing (previously Overture, and GoTo).

The original 'Pay per Click' engine, Yahoo! Search Marketing provides 'top of the page' sponsored results on some very big engines and directories, Ask Jeeves, MsN and Yahoo to mention just a few.

With the option to use Overture in the UK or Globally (USA), this PPC engine can return serious, targeted traffic very quickly. Like Espotting, you bid for position of a word or phrase, if you want number one position, just bid more than the current holder.

We recommend an experienced manager for your Overture account as any lack of focus on keyword and description can result in a huge amount of non-targeted, inappropriate click-throughs; a very expensive way of learning!
